Ember Ingebretson, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy | Nutrition Coach | REDs Informed Provider

A whole-person, physical therapy informed approach.

Hi, I’m Ember!

My work is shaped by more than 23 years as a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in orthopedics and women’s health. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about helping people understand how their bodies work, build lasting strength, and create habits that support long-term health.

In addition to my clinical experience, I’ve pursued advanced training in nutrition coaching, Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), and perimenopause wellness. My approach integrates movement, strength, nutrition, sleep, recovery, circadian health, nervous system regulation, and other foundational lifestyle factors that help the body adapt, heal, and thrive.

My passion for women’s health spans the lifespan, from supporting young women and athletes, to pregnancy and postpartum, to helping women navigate the transitions of midlife with strength, energy and confidence.

My goal is to help you understand how the body thrives, learn to nourish it well, prioritize muscular health and mobility to stay healthy in life and sport, and together, to establish rhythms that help your strength and confidence grow.

Wellness Resources

Shaklee

Shaklee offers high-quality supplements, protein, and home essentials rooted in decades of research and rigorous testing. These are products I personally use and recommend to support energy, recovery, and sustainable healthy habits.

Counter

Counter creates skincare and beauty products with a strong focus on ingredient transparency and safety standards that go beyond industry norms. I appreciate their commitment to cleaner formulations that support skin health without unnecessary additives.

Lumebox

LUMEBOX makes red light therapy easy to use at home as part of a recovery or wellness routine. It’s a gentle, supportive option I recommend alongside consistent movement and self-care habits.

BlockBlueLight

Block Blue Light has my favorite “no blue” booklight which I also use as my candle for evening showers and for tucking in my boys.

Midwest RLT

Midwest offers blue light–filtering glasses designed to reduce exposure to LED and screen-based light throughout the day. I like these as a simple, wearable option to support eye comfort and better light hygiene in everyday routines.

LifeWave

LifeWave’s non-invasive phototherapy patches are designed to support overall wellness through the body’s natural light responsive pathways. Many users report benefits related to energy, recovery, sleep, and overall wellbeing.

The X39 patch uses reflected light to stimulate specific points on the skin and has been studied for its effects on the GHK-CU peptide, which is associated with healthy aging and tissue repair. I’ve used LifeWave patches for the past year and have been impressed with my results. If you’re curious about the science behind this tech, I’d encourage you to learn more.
